Angling is starting to slow down throughout the Western River Basin District, comprising Bangor, Ballina and Sligo Fisheries Districts, but some nice fish are still being caught.

The angling season is slowly coming to an end in Mayo, but anglers are still reporting good catches of salmon and trout.
Despite a slow down in angling over the past week, over 300 salmon were still caught on the River Moy, the Western River Basin District – Ballina, reports.
Salmon anglers can look forward to some good fishing over the coming days as fresh fish enter Mayo river systems.
Sea trout are starting to come into the lower reaches of the River Moy, the North Western Fisheries Board reports.
